The Rise of HR

The Rise of HR, is a collection of essays by 73 individuals from industry, academia, consulting, government and non-profit organizations that was compiled by Dave Ulrich and others and sponsored by the HR Certification Institute. The Rise of HR highlights the critical issues facing organizations and talent professionals who are addressing the growing trend of people as a primary driver of an organization’s success.

IPMA-HR was pleased to contribute to the book with an essay titled “Knowing the Internal and External Public Sector Environment: Applying HR Competencies for Results,” which was written by Fagan Stackhouse, IPMA-CP, HR Director, Charleston County, S.C. and IPMA-HR’s Executive Director Neil Reichenberg and can be found on page 67.
